Welcome!

Welcome to the Laurel United Methodist Church's website! Thanks for stopping in.  Commonly referred to as, "That big, gray stone church," or "Oh! That church with those pretty stain glass windows!" We hope in maneuvering this site you are able to learn more about UMC-Laurel and find your way to our church doors so that we might get to know you and you us!

Aside from providing two worship services, our church also offers
Sunday School for children Preschool age through Junior High. Additionally, the youth of our church-Junior High through High School-have UMYF (United Methodist Youth Fellowship) available to them. UMYF is our Youth Group, which meets every Sunday evening and holds events of their own throughout the year, including Friday Fun Night, one Friday per month. Our education opportunities do not end with the youth of our church, however, Adult Education classes are offered on Sunday mornings and throughout the week as well. For family fun & mission work, we turn to our Family Ministries committee, who plan family focused activities throughout the year.

As noted below, the Laurel UMC provides Nursery services during both church services as well as during Sunday School. Alice Brown has provided faithful service to our church for 43 years. She is assisted in caring for our children by Katie Shelton. Our nursery staff is First Aid/CPR Certified.

The United Methodist Vision is: Open hearts, Open minds, Open doors. We hope to see you at church and bring a friend!
